Exploring the Slovenian forest has never been easier than with this perfect excursion. Embark on a journey through a forested hillside with beech trees, offering pittoresque vierws of the valley. Animal tracks show us that we are not alone and we may encounter birds, butterflies and even deer!

- Start and ending at the same place: the old sawmill near village Vrhnika in Loška dolina. This is meeting point no. 1 on the map.
- Duration: depending on walking speed about 2 hours.
- Difficulty: moderate: we hike over smaller forest strails and have some altitude differences.
- Age: for everyone who can walk in the forest for 2 hours. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.
- Nearby places which you can visit on the same day (not part of this tour): Križna jama cave, Snežnik castle, Ruins of Lož castle, Brown bear watching. Also lake cerknica and Rakov Škocjan are nearby.
